  • Military - daughter in law can help ?

    Hello Friends,

I used to post questions and experience about my case when I was not in the US. I am very thankful to Ray B who helped me a lot in understanding of CR-1 Visa. Finally I am in US and recently got GC and looking forward to call my widow (mom) in June 2016 to spend Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr (Holy month and big event). Unfortunately I can not go to spend Ramadan in Pakistan because I am in process of getting job and searching schools to study. My wife secures a good position here and she is Active duty Military and unfortunately she also won't get permission to visit Pakistan so easily whereas I am with her in US, usually they discourage their soldiers to visit certain countries.

I would like to to know how to present a case in order to get visit visa for my mother to spend Ramadan with us.

    BR,
    Zain

Basically, just be honest on the visa application where it asks for purpose of visit. All you mom has to say is she wishes to visit her son. The rest is up to the VO whether to issue a visa.

      Daggit,

I respect your statement and we will follow it and its obvious to not lie at any stage.

I am just saying that there is always a room to present your case. So the details was provided to get an advice like how to present the case to VO.

      Regards,
      Zain
