B2 Visa Under Administrative Processing for 25 Days now Us Consulate Hyderabad

Dear All

Me My Wife and my Kid appeared for a B2 visa interview on 26th Feb 2016 they both got the visa for 10 years multiple in about 3 days

but mine says AP for the past 25 days

VO asked some questions about my earlier visa which was a C1D(Crew Member) and never looked at any documents straight away said approved .

I dint over stay the last time. I had a contract with a cruise ship for six months in Miami and came back way back in August 2007.

In Dec 2007 I applied for a renewal for C1D Visa got it for 5 years but could never go back and it expired in 2012

Can anyone pls suggest what could be the reason for the delay.

If the status is AP, there's nothing anyone on this forum can do. You just need to wait and be patient. Applicants from Hyd have been in the news recently and seem to be under greater scrutiny of late.

Administrative Processing is to cross verify your details or your history. They may want to check details about your previous stay, other countries visited etc. which takes time. 15-30 days are normal once the application goes into AP - I don't think anyone really knows what all they verify & from where.
