Take my mom to US till my L1B assigment is over

Hi,
My L1B is initiated. If I get through this and have to travel to US, can I take my mom along with me and have her stay with me till my L1B assignment gets over in US. She does not have any one else here in India to take care of her and hence I can not travel without her. Please tell me the way how I can do this? Is it possible through visitor visa as one of my friend says or is there any other alternative. Please let me know. Thanks

Parents are not treated as dependent for L1 visa types.

You can only assist her getting a B2 tourist visa. On B2 visa she can stay there for maximum 6 months & can be extended for another 6 months (a separate approval will be required). However she cannot stay with you longer than that.

Longer she stay in USA, equivalent or more duration she need to stay in India before her second visit.

For prolonged visits, she will be questioned a lot on second visit onward or may be denied entry.
