Visitor Visa fee to be transferred to a new passport no.

My parents paid the Visa fee with the HDFC back last week after which they noticed a mistake in their passports. Now, both of them are getting new passports(with new passport no.'s). I want to know whether the visa fee that they paid can be tranferred to this new passport no. or can anything else be done so that they need not pay the money again for applying the visa?. Kindly help as it is very urgent!

Write to your local vfs office with documents to support your case. Do not go the interview with the new passport and a different number in the online application.
