Can my cousin sponsor a US travel visa to my parents? Please HELP..!!

Hi,

My cousin is graduating with a degree from a U.S university this summer and she's planning to invite her parents to attend the convocation ceremony.
I'm on a H-1B visa and working in US for the last three years.

I'm planning on inviting my parents too to visit us.
I was wondering if it's easy for them to apply for a visa using my cousin as a sponsor because the purpose of visit can be to attend the convocation ceremony.

But since I'm also living in the US, I'm a little unsure if it'd cause a problem for them if my cousin acts a sponsor instead of me.
Can you please help.
