While filling the details of my DS 160 form, while scrolling for birthdate, the birthdate got entered as April instead of May, the date and year are right. I have paid my visa fees also and I am in the process for fixing my appointment. We are taking a family appointment. Will there be a problem during the interview? Can I rectify this mistake? Do let me know so that I can plan my interview accordingly.

Yes, name, DOB & place of birth are the key identifiers. Details in the form & in your passport should match exactly.
Call the consulate & let them know that you would like to correct some basic & required typos.- I am not an Attorney, hence not giving any legal advice. Just sharing MY opinion with an intent to help others.

Another question that I had that we have scheduled our visa interview as a family, my wife, my daughter, my mom and I. My wife and I are doctors, daughter is studying for PG in a government college and mom is a widow. Mom has been to the US on my occasions in the past. She had her Green card too which she used only in 2005 when it was first issued. She came back to India but was unable to go back due to father's ill health. He underwent surgeries but now is no more. He too had a green card. These cards expired in May 2015. What is her status? What are the chances of her getting a B2 visa? What are our chances of getting a B2 visa? Will her status affect our chances too? Actually we all want to go in August 2016 because my brother's son in getting married. My brother is a US citizen, his whole family is. Also my sister and her family are US citizens. My son has recently gone there on J1 visa. Please guide and help.

If applied together, her status can really impact the group, hence I would suggest you to apply separately.
If your mother is 70+ years old, she will be qualified for drop box - IWP. Otherwise your brother can sponsor her visit.
Rest all can apply together, as self sponsored trip to visit brother/sister & roam around few cities of USA.- I am not an Attorney, hence not giving any legal advice. Just sharing MY opinion with an intent to help others.
