Hello All,
My first post on Immihelp!
My parents are planning to go to the US to visit my sister next month on B1/B2 visa. 2 weeks back, the DS-160 was filled up and appointment taken. They had the problem of no surname in the passport. It was a mistake that we didn't get this corrected before taking the appointment.
After taking the appointment, realized that the no surname in passport is going to be an issue and got it changed under Tatkal for both of them. After getting the new passports, the DS-160 has been filled again and new Confirmation number obtained.
My question is, Can they still attend the Visa interview on the same day as scheduled earlier? The feedback form has already been filled informing the US Travel Docs support team of the changes that are necessary. Will they change the details on the fees paid with the udpated Passport particulars information provided?
If not, before re-scheduling, can the necessary changes to the profiles of my parents be made before taking the appointment again?
Thank you very much for your help.
