Multiple US visa -Impact?

Is it possible for some one to have multiple US visa?My father is applying for B2 visa,but he already has a C1D visa.If his B2 visa gets approved ,will his C1D visa gets cancelled ?

Yes, an individual can have more than one type of visa in a passport.

Though the question is already answered.

But to be more specific, one can have multiple non-immigrant visas at anytime, but cannot have both non-immigrant & immigrant visa at the same time.
