Hi i have book cruise to alaska (7d inside passage return trip from vancouver). I have get canadian visa. Now i need to apply for us visa.
What type of us visa i need to apply? Is it B2 for tourism?
I take a look at d160 form, and stuck on question "where will you stay in the us" which i need to fill street adress, city and state. I'm not realy staying at hotel since i will stay on my cruise ship.
Realy appreciate on your suggestion and opinion on this one. Thank you very much

Depends on your country of citizenship, you might need a visa.

Yes, B2 is for tourism in USA.

Please apply for a B2 visa. Keep your confirmed itinerary/tickets/hotel bookings (if any) along with you.

The US embassy websites suggest not making flight/hotel reservations until a visa is in hand.

Perhaps you could use the cruise's point of embarkation as the street address for the visa application. Or if you have any US-based friends or family joining you on the cruise, could use their address.

That's correct. But he has already booked his travel plan. Hence I suggest to keep it handy for the interview. This shows them the real intent of asking for the visa.

You are correct; I mistakenly overlooked the cruise is booked.

However, there is no guarantee of a US visa, although it seems likely based on the description.
