  • visitor Visa for my parents - help needed

First i would like to thank you for this excellent website and forum for helping the visa applicants with our queries,

I am applying for visitor visa for both my parents. I got pretty much good idea about the documents required from my side and from my parents. I am worried about about a couple of things which I am hoping to get some help here.

    1. My father is a farmer. So he never had to file income tax. Is it a mandatory to have it or nice to have ?
    2. My parent's property documents, such as land or house .. Is it a mandatory to have it or nice to have ?
    3. There is a printing mistake in the address in the passport. It is different in my father's and mother's passport.

It says "5th cross " in my father's passport and "5th cross street" in my mother's passport.
Is it really a big deal. Should I request for change of address/correction. It will take whole lot of time to fix it..

    Please advice..

You need to provide documents stating his work, IT returns are optional, it not earning sufficient to file it.

No, its not mandatory, but it is nice to have & increases your chances of your visa.

No, its fine, as long as it is the same address. Like "M G Road" & "Mahatma Gandhi Marg" are same thing.

Thank you very much for your quick response. When you say "You need to provide documents stating his work", what does it mean. Statement for saying he is a farmer.. ? can you please explain a little bit more.

Yes, any document issued by government/local authority showing that he is farmer.

It might be a issue. Same Think Happened to my parents interview. They recently attended an interview. Visa officer told them, you visa has approved and gave them a paper where it mentioned that you visa has approved and where they have to go for pickup and within what time. But after 2 hours we got an email with refusal.

I think address issue was the reason.

Like... My father's passport - PaikPara
My mother's passport - Paik Para

          I filled up
          on father's ds160 - Paik Para
on my mother's ds160 - Same as Main application (i picked this option)

But these are machine readable passports. I think when they scanned those, computer will show that those address doesn't match. AND US Embassy... O GOD.. they are sooo picky. everyone knows that..

          So, You Never Know!!!!!!!!!!!
