Hi everyone,
My mother in law is going for her US visa appointment early next week. She is going alone for the interview. In DS-160, we had shown that her son, who is already in India will be paying for the trip. In the US contact field we had shown my US address. We had also mentioned in the application that her son will be traveling with her. He already has a visitor visa.
Here is what I would like to know. Is I-134 letter of affidavit needed. If yes, then who should provide it. Her son or me? They will be staying with us here in the US. Do I need to show my bank statements or his son will show those. I didn't sponsor her becuase currently my H1B extension application is pending with USCIS.
If his son is showing his bank satements, how much would be adequate given that they will stay with us. I am thinking anyway to write an invitation letter specifying that while she and her son are in the US, they will live with us and we will take care of the expenses in the US.
Thanks
