Do you guys mean DS156 / DS 157 form is required to setup the appointment ?

            Guys

I am confuse now. Do we need to fill up the DS-156 form etc at the time of making the appointment itself. Or its requires at the time of interview.

If you are making appointment online...how can you fill DS-156 form. Do you need send them afterwards but before appearing to Interview in Chennai.? Not sure.

            Please let me know.

Yes, you need to fill up DS156 and DS157 online if you make online appointment. After filling up all those details you will be given screen to selecte interview date. once the interview dates are selected, you will be given a screen where you can download/open/forward (to an email id) the documents to print out.
THis print out you need to carry for the interview.

FYI: DS156 is changed the allow the user to enter info online and submit.

Thanks for the info..but still need some more info

Thanks RK for your time and support.

As I told you, I am in USA. I want my in laws (they are in Hyderabad) to deposit the money in HDFC and then go to application center for appointment. I could have done that online. But I can not get any appointment for 'HINDI', its available only in English (which they are not confortable).

Now could you please tell me what all documents would be require for them to carry when they go to setup appointment. I am giving the list, pleae correct it :

                1. Passport (may be alongwith copy of First and Last Page)
                2. Photograph - 1
                3. DS156 / DS 157
                4. HDFC Bank receipt
                5...
                6..

But how about other documents required from my end like I-134, Bank Statment, Paystub, Birth Certifcate, Our passport copy etc. Do they need them to setup the appointment as well.

Please reply ASAP. I really appreciate your help.

Well I don’t think you will get an appointment in HINDI just by walking into application center, when it is not available online. (I think VFS must be using same database for online and local offices)

Per most of the users, it looks like non-English appointments are not available at this time.

Please let us know if you are successful in getting an appointment in Hindi by walking-in.

To book the appointment, you need….
                  1. Applicants’ passport
                  2. HDFC bank receipt#
                  3. Sponsor’s US address and Ph#

Above documents are required while booking appointment as the applicant will be asked to fill up DS156 and DS157.

After filling up the above documents, applicant can take the print out of above documents with interview confirmation letter and B2 visa guide etc.

Latest photo needs to be affixed to DS156 as per instructions.
Refer to: https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ApplnForms...fications.aspx for more details.

Applicants need to carry all these documents plus all other required documents such as I-134, Bank Statement, Pay-stub etc.

vfs has no special arrangement for getting a visa appointment. It uses the same date base the online users do.
