My mom and nephew are planning to visit the US for one month. Is there a cap on how much USD they can bring?

Can both of them together bring USD 20,000. Is there any forms they need to fill or do they have to declare this amount somewhere. Can they bring this amount in travelers check or cash.

Upto$10000 per person. Better to have them carry check or traveler card instead of cash.

Somehow I doubt Vegas. (but casinos do accept debit and credit cards.. that are much easier to transport than wads of $100 bills).
