  • Visitor Visa in Canada for Parents staying in US on B2 visa

    Hi,

I am on H1B and have got my Extension done, but VISA stamped/I-94 is valid till June 2016 and new extension is till Jan 2018.

On above criteria, I have 2 questions:

    1) Can my parents(who are on B2 VISA in US) can get Canada Visa and they can return back to US as they have valid B2 visas.

    2) For processing of their VISA, can I provide my financial information(bank statements, paystubs etc) as a proof of security. Or do they need to provide information of their bank balance in India or someone from Canada(Canadian Citizen) need to sponsor their visa?

    Please advise.

    Thanks in advance!!!

Ofcourse yes, considering they have multiple entry visa & by doing this there is no intention to extend their stay (they can be deported, if the CBP officer suspects).

Canadian visa won't be so difficult since they already have USA visa. Your documents should be good.

Generally speaking, it's better to apply for a routine visa in the applicant's home country, rather than a third country. Unless of course it's an emergency.

On a side note, any attempt to extend an i94 by visiting Canada will not work.

Does I need to provide any proof of financial support in Canada and does my parents passport will be a considered as a proof of their marriage as they do not have marriage certificate?

Yes, your bank statements would work. Passports would also work.
