Visit Visa for Parents, B1/B2 or B2?

Hi All,

I would like to get some information on applying Visit Visa for my parents.

Do I have to apply under B1/B2 or B2?

I have previously applied twice under B1/B2 category and on both occasions their Visa was rejected without any reason given to them. They did not even ask a single question from my mother.

Should I apply for my mother alone?

My father is on duty and is a govt officer. Is that making any hindrance?

1. It makes no difference whether you apply for B2 or B1/B2.
2. Your father's job should not be a problem.

What questions being asked to your parent during their earlier interviews?

"..their Visa was rejected without any reason given to them.."

That's not quite true; B2 denials are accompanied by a 214b. The overwhelming reason is failure to prove strong ties to home.
