  • How does the page look if you get a date?

    Hello there,

Can someone please let me know how the page would look after we get an interview date? I saw that there were a couple of openings for telugu interview in June and by the time I completed the DS156 form looks like they were gone. I just got to a page that said "Save the application and Exit" (which barely saved any data, btw). Will this page look different if there are dates available? Please let me know.

    Thanks
    Sri

Yes the page will look different. You will have an additional button to 'Confirm your appointment date'. When you click on that, you will be routed to another page asking you to pick the address where you want the passport to be delivered if visa is granted. From there you will be taken to yet another page which will explain priority appointment dates. Then if you click 'continue' you will be actually routed to the page where a calendar will display with open dates in green if they are available. You will be able to click on the date of your choice. Again the calendar ONLY shows if dates are available. Otherwise you get the 'Interview dates are not available' edit. Then you just have to keep trying over and over again till something opens up. Good luck!
BTW, the same thing happened to me. I saw an available date and by the time I filledd all the information on those 2 forms, the date was gone.

once you complete the D156 and D157 , incase you are lucky enough and the dates are still available, it would take you to the earliest date available page,
the date available would be underlined and you have to click on that and you can get that date.
Incase , by the time you fill up the forms the dates are gone, it would pop up a message saying dates are not available and you have the option to save and exit.
The next time you see another new date, you have to retrieve the previous application saved and book the slot.
      Hope this helps.
This is based on the experience I had a fortnight ago. I hope the rules havent changed...

The underlined dates on the calendar are real available dates where you can take appointment immediately.
