could not postpone the appointment date

Today I tried to postpone the date (regional language).
I saw date available first in May 24th and then in June 15th also.
Whenever I tried through the reschedule link , it retrieved the information correctly and later when it has to go to the 'earliest date available' page,
it was throwing some kind of strange browser error. I tried lot of times, but still no use. After 10 mts or so it took me correctly, but this time it showed 'date not available'.
I was totally confused as to why the system didnt allow me to postpone the date when the dates were available...why did it throw some browser message..stating that i have 'refreshed the page 'etc etc..when I didnt do anything like that.....

I have seen the irritating Security page too when I have not used the back/forward/refresh buttons. The only thing that helped was opening a new browser window and starting fresh.

yeah thanks for the reply......there is someone to empathise my situation.
actually I tried opening a new window so many times...yet I was not lucky...
got the same error message..then I deleted cookies too..and opened new window ....still the same message...and after some time dates were gone...

Try clearing your browser cache. This may just be a system glitch which might - with any luck - be resolved soon. I have switched between Firefox and IE for want of a better idea I can feel your pain. The VFS servers are likely dealing with tons of traffic. Too bad they dont have a better idea.

Link to fix the appointment for English in Chennai for visitors?

Hello,
Can some one please let me know the steps to fix the appointment for visitor visa in Chennai for English.Because i tried to book it , but i can only see the dates available for English in July in green. When I click on the date I want I though it will take to a page where we can enter our details .But that that calendar does not have any link .So please let me know how I am book an appointment and are there no dates for Tamil?

That calendar does not have links. Only shows available dates. There is a button on that page (sorry forgot what its called) that you have to click and then fill those DS156 and DS157 forms - which will take a while. After you are done filling those forms, you will get a button to confirm an interview date. From there on you will eventually be routed to a page with a calendar that has clickable dates - if dates are available.
For Tamil dates, it is much harder. You will constantly see a 'interview dates are not available' message. You just have to keep trying. I asked VFS about this and they had nothing more to offer.
Also - this is very important - if you want a date in Tamil, you have to keep trying till a Tamil date opens up before you can enter those 2 forms. If you choose English you CANNOT change your language later without deleting your application first and filing a new one. So please be careful.

thanks ss92. Its very frustrating, when you find the date after trying for it so many times and when we cant book it due to some funny browser error.
The problems only arises when dates are available. And when dates arent available it takes to the page correctly.!!!!
Will try clearing the buffer next time.

Few minutes back I saw a June 7th date open up and went to reschedule. Got that damn security screen error. Opened a new browser window and tried to reschedule, this time no error but it did'nt show the June 7th date. It shows only July dates. Then I opened one more browser window and checked availability, it was still showing June 7th. It is clear they are not letting you prepone or that June 7th slot could be for a regional language. Either way its frustrating.
