how much financial ties to show?

My mother is a senior citizen and widow. Of all her children, I am the only one in US. She gets my dads pension currently. She has been a home maker and never worked. Other than some money in bonds and fixed deposits, she does not have any real estate ownership like house or land. She lives with my sister. Will this be a problem in her getting a visa.

I have seen some postings for widow, where inspite of showing ownership of property, the visa got rejected.

Any advice is appreciated.
