US visa page detached from the passport

Hi,

I am on a visitor visa in US and will be going back to India on 4th June 2016. Unfortunately, by mistake my passport has got damaged where the US visa stamp page has been detached from the passport.I have below questions for accessing my options to travel back.

1. Will I be allowed to travel back to India from US on 4th June 2016 on the current passport or do I need to apply for a new passport?
2. Can a visitor visa holder apply for a new passport?
3. In case I am allowed to go back, what will be the scenario at Indian immigration?

Please let me know if anyone has pointers in this regard.

You would be allowed to go back. As an Indian citizen, with Indian passport, you have the right to enter back into India.

US VISA Torn at the middle bottom

My company applied for L1B visa for me and I got I approved.I got a message for passport pick up and I picked it up from there. while checking I didn't notice the torn part.After getting to office I saw that and my travel department from the office told me to raise a feedback query through the portal we book for appointments and I did.Please can anybody share what will be the next course of action.I am kind of freaked out since it is no fault of mine and will they accept it as their mistake.Details below

nothing can be done now as you have already collected it from VAC Chennai & you cannot prove that it is their fault..
