URGENT: 214b VISA Rejection Q

Dear all...

I am writing with lot of hope to know can anybody tell me.. if the VISA is rejected, is that going to be shown in Passport, when my parents had gone for VISA they have mentioned VISA APPLICATION RECEIVED in passport, but they have been give a paper saying CAUSES OF VISA REJECTION in that they have underlined 214b but neither my parents name was mentioned nor do their i/v date...

thia is very imp n urgent for me as i need to schedule next appointment for my parents and confused weather to say VISA was rejected before in DS-156 or no.

Normally the rejection will be stamped on the passport with reason code.

hi,

in passport there was a stamp "application received n date" but there was no 214b, what does this mean.

in DS-156 shall i mention REjected or not, thats the BIg?? for me.

Thats unusual.. Check the passport again, especially the last page..

For DS 156: Its better to tell the truth.

I wann to mention but not sure when it is not there in Passport, "in the last page of the passport APPLICATION RECEIVED stamping is there" if they will question how can u consider this a rejection..becaus my parents were not been interviewed also..they said birth Place is mentioned wrong in DS_156 make fresh appointment thats it...

I have one more qestion, in HDFC bank receipt, there was a spelling mistake in my mothers name, do i need to take fresh receipt n appointment else if you have any alternate suggestion that would be of great help to me.

Did u contact the bank from where u got the receipt?

we took in Madras HDFC Bank after the first i/v we live very far from Madras, we dont have ph.no to contact also, so i want to know was there any case where in this happend, and can anybody correct the name on HDFC receipt either by going back to bank or taking any other proof papers.

When visa is rejected in the passport it only shows as 'application received on.....'. Consulates has the details the previous application.

The same has happened with my parents.
They have taken the interview asked couple of questions
and seen the sponser's papers and just returned the
passports.Just 'Application Recieved' in the passport and
wrong stamping date.
They have not given any sheet also for them indicating the reason.
