Passport expiration and travel

Hi,

My parents' passport expires in December 2016 and they have a valid visa stamping done. They plan to travel to the US for a month in July 2016. Will there be any issue regarding their travel? Do they need to get a new passport and get the stamping done again?

When they apply for new passport they don't need to go for visa stamping again. They can carry old and new passport.
