  • Visitor Visa Supporting documents

    All,

My parents have their appointment scheduled for May 5, 2006. This appointment date was taken at the VFS application center in Mumbai on January 15,2006. Since the website says that they need to submit the original forms and supporting documents as soon as possible, I prepared all the documents (like I-134 etc.) by January end and sent it to them for submission to VFS. However, VFS said that they did not need the supporting documents at all.

My question is that do I need to re-send them all the documents (like I-134 etc.) again and prepare them 1-2 months before?

Appreciate all the help on this forum.

    Thanks
    Abhishek

I'm in kinda a same position...we also prepared I-134 too early not knowing what interview date will be given...
Do not send Supporting Documents directly to embassy...instead, send them to ur parents cuz they will need them at the interview...

Have ur I-134 signed & notarized & Bank Letter ready 1-4 weeks before the interview...eventhough some say I-134 is valid for 6-12 months but the closer the date on it from the Interview, the better it is...

If possible, try to deposit money in ur bank account after few or several days or per week till April 30th... as soon as u receive ur bank statement from April 1st-30th, mail it immidietly to ur parents (use dhl, ups, Fedex or other private service) will cost u some money but will be worth it...cuz embassay prefers latest documents...

beside I-134 & Bank statement, everythin else should be good...

I also prepared documents last week for my parents. All the instructions are misleading on VFS wesite too. So, I called them (VFS-Mumbai). They said that send photocopies of supporting documents and carry originals at the time of interview. I took online appointment. It gave the instruction document called NonBEP_rest.pdf. I think, those instructions are matching with whatever VFS told me on phone.

I will come to know when my parents go to submit the documents.

          One more question

Thanks, all...another question...how much money is considered to be "enough" to show in your accounts? Both parents will be travelling.

Thanks again to everyone on this forum..
