Green Card expired, does SSN still valid?

Hi,
I need the help very urgently. My Mother held Green card for about 5 years and then she gave up and went to India about 5 years ago. Now I need to apply for her Visitors visa. Do I need to find and mention her OLD SSN in the form? Will that be a cause for rejection of her application? Please advise.

Her SSN remains attached to her name for life.
