Bad Experience with VFS site. Did any one faced this issue before?

  • Bad Experience with VFS site. Did any one faced this issue before?

    Last week I saw a Telugu appointment (Green date) and then completed DS-156 and DS-157 forms. After completing every thing I could not proceed further because of 'NO DATES AVAILABLE'.

    Today I found MAY 23 as green and so immediately I retrieved the application by clicking on the link 'Retrieve/Modify a saved application' and then Continued for Confirmation. Again I got a message 'NO DATES AVAILABLE'.

    I closed the browser and opened new VFS home page and then clicked on the 'Earliest Available appointment date for Telugu language' it showed me 23 rd May 2006. I dont understand why I was unable to confirm when 23rd May was available.

    After 5 minutes I tried again but this time in the availability screen itself it showed the message 'NO DATES AVAILABLE'.

    I hope VFS will fix all these issues.

    We were exactly in the same boat last night. I got so frustrated that I called VFS India center and their answer simply was someone must have got it before you did. They were so rude and impolite that I would never want to deal with them ever again. We finally gave up on Telugu appointment dates, took an English appointment and my parents enrolled in a spoken English class I hate to do this to them but they are taking it in a stride.

      That really sucks that they have to now go to English classes What an ordeal for them!! I experienced the same problem when I was booking my mother's apt. I gave up checking for availability first and just started retrieving her app - yes entering all the information every single time - and trying for dates that way. So if a date opened up, all I had to do was quickly click on it to grab it. Same with rescheduling. Checking for availability and then pulling up the application to pick the new date just doesnt work on this website.

        The VFS website sucks bigtime

        This is a classic example of how bad you can write your code. The freaking website goes down with network error and has very poor capacity to handle traffic. I almost gave up and called the helpline to fix the issue.

        Bottomline : Its a piece of Sh*t.

          Piece of Junk

          This VFS site is a piece of CRAP. I think they didn't do a good job for such a high profile site. Indians are lazy and they think everything is right and they say hardworking. I agree hardworking but without quality. Look at the code they wrote. Every step is a big hassle and you don't know what happens if you press a button (it might cancel your appointment). They make it so complicated that no body wants to dream to get an appointment. These stupid guys must be fired and the website development and maintainence should be insourced to usa.

            Problems

            I tried to reschedule my uncle's appointment. Eventhough i am entering moter's name exactly it appears on the Form 157. But still complains invalid mother's name.

            If i do the same thing try to book new appoinment, (I am entering same mohter' name) then it takes it, but says your appointment is already booked.

            I donot know what to do. Neither i can cancel my uncles appointment or book new one. I am struck in between.

              Hey

              The problem is you guys might have more than one applicant in a single appointment.
              The slot is available for one person only..that is the reason...

              Even I faced this problem..If you try with on applicant you may be able to book that date..

                One applicant only

                The appointment is only for one person. I am trying to reschedule my uncles appointment. He is the only one going for visa. nobody else. when i booked the appointment, i did only for one person.

                I have sent an email to chennai ffice, i hope i will get the reply. Did anybody sent email to the office? How long they will take time for reply?

                  I think it is better you call them. Replying will take atleast 24 hrs I guess.. i called customer service y'day at sharp 8.00am (indian time) and the lady helped me answer all the questions.

                  My problem was , i had take new reciept and i had to wait for 2 days to get it activated in the system.. The lady said .. just keep trying now and then and u never know it might be active. and guess what.. we took the receipt y'day morning and today morning it was active. It took just 24 hrs or a little more than that .. so my suggestion to people in this case is..dont wait for complete 2 days..
