  • Visitor/tourist visa for spouse's cousin

    Hi
I am on H1 and my wife is on H4. We would like to invite my spouse cousin who studying in India first year UG. Please help me on documents and chances of getting approval. I have read the documents list (https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visitor...sor-documents/) and have below queries

    1. Should I submit my birth certificate or my spouse's birth certificate? Btw, I born in 1981 and I don't have original birth certificate. Also my spouse has birth certificate, but it does not have her name in it. What to do?

    2. Should I invite him as my relative or my spouse relative? what relationship I need to mention in I-134? should all letters be signed my spouse or me?

    3. What is the minimum bank balance to be shown?

    1. Your wife's birth certificate. Please read more information on Non Availability of Birth Certificate. https://www.immihelp.com/non-availab...-us-greencard/
    2. Spouse relative. Wife's Cousin. By your spouse. You can show joint income.
    3. There is no set limit. As long as you can support while your visitor is in USA. Around $5000.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

Consular officers hate cases like this one. It will not be easy. Your cousin must qualify for the study visa on her own.
