  • Infamous Bhurkha lady

    Folks,

Can we setup a tracker to see how many visas were rejected/granted by this Burkha lady. Sounds like she is a big pain in the as*. Once we have this info, we can send a formal letter to consulate to look into the issue and take a corrective measure. Any thougts about it is appreciated.

    Jai Hind.

Sure. Many people have suffered because of her. My cousin's parents' visa got rejected by her. It is so ridiculous the way she is rejecting visas. I am totally with you. Please suggest how we can do this.

Thank you for coming up with the idea.

Let us use this forum in a more constructive way. Do not try to point to anyone including CO's.

Also we should complain about the unavailability of appointment dates and how unfriendly the whole system is. It does not make any sense to have to cancel the whole appointment and do it all over again to reschedule an appointment more than once. And also we cannot see the time of the appointment until and after we click the date to take the appointment. So what if the time is not convenient for you? And on top of it, you cannot reschedule more than once. It is a real pain to get an appointment now. It does not have to be that hard. TTS was a lot better. It is getting worse instead of getting friendlier.

Visachief, what is so non-constructive about mentioning CO names? The system is so unfair to begin with, and such posts are definitely informative and helpful. Put yourself in an applicant's shoes. If you knew the chances of rejection are high with a particular CO and you are standing in line for visa, wouldn't you pray not to face that CO?

I totally agree with hurricanebay. You dont understand the pressure the parents and children feel if they get rejected for no reasons.

I agree with you regarding the pressure but I dont agree putting the letter and pointing the CO for all our personal reasons..Even I am not getting appointments. Ok you can send the feedback to VFS system regarding difficulty in making/rescheduling the system.

Regarding to the VISAs:- We have to agree that there are so many people who puts the fraud documents and goes for VISA then it is obvious that CO needs to check all those things. ofcourse due to that even genuine people are suffering. Every country will have their own security reasons dont try to poing those.

Do you agree if every one wants to come to India from Pakistan with all false documents ?

try to understand the truth......... dont try to scold others becoz of our personal problems.........

                        WGL,

You are grossly mistaken. We are not talking of opening flood gates for visas. There are seperate categories of visas and for each category of visa the consulate should use appropriate chekcs and balances. Being from Hyderabad, I know of many many shameful and despicable cases who forged degree certificates to get a H1. Many many unqualified people paid up questionable desi consulting companies for H1. Many many students ****d finances to get F1. Yes, visas should be strict in such cases.

But how many parents **** documents? How many parents over-stay their visa? How many parents never return back? While there are exceptions in every case, statistically speaking, especially among south Indian parents since we are talking of Chennai, there are very very few cases of fraud and visa abuse. Isn't the whole visa issuance process subjective and shouldn't statistics be a major factor in arriving at subjective conclusion? Isn't why statistics make a middle earstern male's prospects of getting visa tougher than a blue-eyed blonde female's applicant from Nowray?

As far as your security concerns go, let them put all visa applicants though a strict security check. Ask them to collect DS 157 from all applicants, not just from males younger than 45.

Now don't get confused with a request to be more humane on a specific demographic of elder non-immigrant applicants who have not been a secutiry and immigrant concern with a request to do away with all criteria for all applicants. Think!

Now DS157 has to be filled by all the applicants

                            Let's move forward

Well said Huricane! I believe Visa should be issued based on facts not based on opinion. Unfortunatley, due to high volume, the risk factors goes up and the CO's are loosing their mind. Moreover, let's not forget it's not easy to immigrate nowday's without valid documentation. You need to have faith either in people or in system. It feels sad to put our parents through this.

                              Burkha lady

My mother who is a widow went for her fourth attempt on March 7,2006 . She was interviewed by this Burkha lady.My mom said that this lady was very mean and was busy munching on the something that was in front of her. She was more involved in what was going to her mouth than the interviewee in front of her. There were other widows as well whose visas were rejected the same day.
We should do something to stop this discrimination.
