Hi There,
My father-in-law is going for the visitor visa interview on March 21st. I prepared all necessary documents that are mentioned in this website along with my visa documents (H1B). The situation is, my in-laws (mother and father) already got rejected twice in last year (in February' 2005). My father-in-law is retired bank officer and mother-in-law is housewife. Their two daughters are in India and only my wife is out of India.
At the time of rejection, we gave the reason of pregnancy of my wife. But I got the information from this website and from some other people that pregnancy might not be the appropriate reason. This time I am doing two changes compare to the last time:
1. Reason of visit is to attend my daughter's birthday and to see us (after 2 years) and to see tourist places
2. My father-in-law is going alone, which shows that he has ties back in India as his wife is staying back.
My questions are:
1. If visa got rejected this time again then What would be the potential cause of rejection (this time)in you guys' opinion?
2. Do you think the idea of going for visa alone will help him getting the visa?
3. My father-in-law has some real estate and farm land in India and he is planning for his youngest daughter's marriage in October'2006. Do you think this would be sufficient for him as reason to show ties back in India.
I would really appreiciate if you could help me in this matter. Looking forward.
Thanks,
Sandeep
