Here's some background, I am a 35yo us citizen, my husband is legal resident we been married 3 years we have a 16 month old son. Last year we wanted his mother to come from brazil to meet her grandson, she was denied twice in Rio, flew from Belo Horizonte. They said insufficient ties. We gave her so many documents and they didn't look at anything. She is divorced, 59, she does not have any money really, we were sponsoring her. She went last year when she was living with her brother, since then she has received a government apartment of her own, she is in the process of getting some type of pension for retirement from the government. She has gotten an aesthetician license and does hair, nails and things out of her apartment. She doesn't have much in her account. Her other son, daughter, all her siblings, and her 6 grandchildren all live in her city. She is going a 3rd time next week...I am hoping the government housing may help ?! I don't know if she should say she is paying for her trip or we are ? But she can't prove that. We would buy her ticket and she would stay with us. What should I have her bring with her ? My husband also..had over stayed his tourist visa before I met him, I am scared this is the problem too! She said they just asked about my husbands journey to America in the 1st interview?! Is there any hope ? We just want her to meet my family
