ds160 form filling - need suggestions

I am travelling US on H1B , going back after my extension was approved. I am planning to take my mom in b2 visa along with me.while filling ds 160 i ran into few questions , i am not sure of the answer,

US Point of contact - can this be my friend? Should he be in the same city as of mine?

ADDRESS Where u ll stay - i have blocked an apartment but ll sign only after reaching there.so can i give this apartment address or i can give my friends address?

1. Can be. Your friend doesn't need to be in the same city.
2. I would suggest to give your apartment address not your friends.
