Visiting Historical sites

Hi i want to know if I can get b2 visa for seeing art galleries and historical sites in US along with visiting a friend, who's house i shall stay at during my stay.

And will it be complicated? is it worth it?

Also I read i dont need to produce any evidence if i am supporting myself, is that correct?

I don't see any problem in getting B2 visa for such visit.

If you are supporting yourself, you need the evidence of the same.

Im unemployed but i will be sponsoring myself from my own savings. Will that be a problem? and what evidence do i bring?
