    hi

my brother is sponsoring my parents to the US for a visit. My mother's brother stays in teh US and is a US citizen. Since their visa was rejected in 1992 when my uncle sponsored their visit, i dont know if mentioning him will reduce their chances. Would it make any difference that my brother is now sponsoring their visit and not my uncle and also its been a decade their visa was rejected.

please advise . my parents are going for an interview on the 13th march

    thx

P.S. My parents have been to the UK twice before. would this help?

Your brother sponsoring your parents is a better option as long as his financial capability is good to support both.

      hi

      thx for your response.

Will the American embassy have records of reason for rejection. My uncle (an US citizen) sponsored my parents visit last time (1992) when it got rejected.

Now do i have to mention him in the form (DS 156). I feel if i do, then the chances of my parents getting a visa may reduce (though this time its my brother who is sponsoring them) , but at the same time i dont want to lie in the form.

      Kindly advise.

      regards

State the truth. Visa application is evaluated on the basis of various facts. A previous rejection is on previous attempt. A new application is NEW. What consulate's jurisdiction you are in?
