My name is Sukhdeep Singh and I am from India. One of friend applying for "B-1/B-2 visa" (USA) . I have couple questions hope you will not mind to answers.



1. What’s process is there any kind of interview for "B-1/B-2 visa" ?

2. What’s total fee in this process? I think my friend is going to pay around $9000 USD around 5,00,000 INR.

3. Can he work there on this kind of visa?

b1 b2 is for tourist and business visa. yes there will be an interview for it,he needs to prepare his financial papers to show that he can approve his visit in the US.

2. What’s total fee in this process? I think my friend is going to pay around $9000 USD around 5,00,000 INR.

Fee for tourist visa is around $250.00 only. pay the fee, fill out DS-260 and choose the date and time for interview.

3. Can he work there on this kind of visa?

no he can't work using this visa. tourist visa or visitors visa only have 6month maximum stay here in US.

a)fill visa form DS 160 (must note alphanumeric no which generate on very first page) through this link https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/default.aspx after sign and submitting application online it will generate DS 160 Confirmation page
b)visit this site register on it http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/index.html?firstTime=No create profile and pay visa fee online or pay at your nearest Citibank Branch fee is USD 160 Aprox inr 10880
c)after doing that login again to this site http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/index.html?firstTime=No and schedule appointment aprox after 2 to 3 hrs after payment done you will be able to schedule appointment for both Biometric & Consular Interview.
d)yes interview & biometric is mandatory without this you cannot get any kind of us visa

As mention above fee is 160 USD Aprox INR 10880

3. Can he work there on this kind of visa?
Not permitted as its not a work visa B1/B2 is only for short business visits and leisure travel purpose.
