Visiting USA and UK

My parents have an appointment for US visa on July11 and they plan to come to USA for 2 months and then go to UK for a few months and come back to US and fly back to India. How does the visa time period work. If they get 6 month visa do they have to enter USA within the six months or once they leave US it is advisable for them to fly back to India from UK? And if they get 10 year multiple entry, is it possible for them to come to US, go to UK and then come back to US before they leave?

Oselina their VISA will have an entry date. If we assume that they will get a multiple entry VISA then visiting US in such short time might be a problem. So it's better for them to come to US spend all the time they would like to and then on their way back to India they can have a break journey in UK. This is what we did with our in laws during their last visit and it is safe as well.
