Hi,
I am currently in US on F1 visa(OPT) working for a company. My employer had filed for my H1B which got selected in lottery this year(but the H1B visa will come into effect from Oct 1st 2016). I am sponsoring my parents, brother and sister-in-law to come from India to US on B2 visa to visit as a tourist for a few weeks. They are planning to appear for the interview in Aug 2016. I have two questions:
1. When the visa officer asks them about my visa status, should they say F1-OPT or H1-B approved(or mention both)?
2. I've read on multiple forums that they can schedule the same visa interview slot/time as a family. Does scheduling together mean that all of them will be interviewed(by the visa officer) together as one group or will they be appearing for interviews separately?
Thanks
