  • Tourist Visa separate from Passport

Girl from Philippines has passport and visa to come visit me in US. She has sent me pictures of both. She knows I am sending airline tickets with mileage, so they cannot be refunded and have no cash value. She says visa was gotten through embassy in Manila and all is good. I thought the visa was part of the passport. Can this be correct?

You need to have passport in order to get visa. After visa approval visa officer will put stamp on the passport.

Sample of US non immigtrant visa stamp,
Sample USA non immigrant visa - visitor visa, business visa, tourist visa, H1 visa, H4 visa, F1 visa, F2 visa, L1, L2 visa, J1 visa, J2 visa
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

So visa is stamp, not a document

So the visa is actually a stamp that is placed on the page inside the passport, and never another separate document? What the girl sent me looked like a separate document and was not inside the passport. So not real.
      Thank you.
