    Hello ,
Thanks to immihelp , I was able to do well in my us visa interview and got visitor's visa. My mother-in-law and my myself plan to visit her first son/ my brother-in-law who lives in US.We is going to US visit pay last respects to my sister-in-law and see her grand daughter/my niece for the first time.My sister-in-law died on 10th may 16.
My mother-in-law's visa interview is on 2nd september. I would like to prepare my mother-in-law for the visa interview.

I want to list the following points in her case.
1.My mil is 72 years old. She does not live with me and is physically fit.
    2. Though she was a housewife through out, she owns property.
    3. My spouse(her second son) takes care of her financial needs and she has my late fil's pension.
    4. My spouse is paying for the tickets and my brother-in law will provide accommodation.
    5. I will accompany her to US and give her a copy of my us visa for her interview.
    6. Her strong ties to India will be my spouse and her property she lives in.
    7. Though my mil can pay her own fare, my spouse is paying for her tickets. My spouse is also paying for my tickets.
Please help me to prepare for her for the visa interview. My brother-in-law is all alone with his 3 and 1/2 year old child. He needs us. Your opinions and feed back will be appreciated.

Your MIL needs to show HER strong ties to her home country.

      1. Her age is helpful in getting a visa since she is beyond normal working age.
      2. That's good.
      3. Your spouse taking care of her is not helpful. First son could also support her.
      4. Doesn't matter because those are not ties to her home country.
      5. You having a visa has nothing to do with her.
      6. Family and property in good.
      7. Doesn't help.

DO NOT SAY THAT SHE IS GOING TO HELP BECAUSE THEY NEED HER. Just say she is going to visit and pay her respect. Do not mention anything about taking care of your BIL or his child.
