Hi everyone!
I'm trying to help my boyfriend (Albanian) prepare to apply to visit me here in The States for 2 weeks. I'm self-employed and a dependent. Does the "income 125% of poverty line or above" ($30,000) still apply when providing the I-134 for a visitor.
When I search the minimum amount of money needed to support a visitor I usually see $5,000-$10,000.
I've made $15,000 in my income this year and I will be putting that towards our vacation.
I only see that the sponsor needs to show proof of financial stability when the applicant is apply for an immigrant visa.
Also, I'm 19. Do you think that this may be a negative for his visa application?
I'm looking forward to any advice you guys can give. Please share if you have any other tips for sponsors.
