What are the chances of me getting approved of a B2 Visa? I am 20 years old, female, from the Philippines. I just graduated with honors from the University of the Philippines last June with a degree in Sociology. I am planning to go to New York sometime in November/December with my aunt who is a Canadian citizen for 3-4 days as a side trip as I am going to Toronto on October 28 and return to Manila on January 6. She will be covering all of my expenses. I already have a valid Canadian visitor's visa. Will having a valid Canadian visa and roundtrip ticket (MNL-YYZ-MNL) improve my chances? I have a previous refusal in 2007 when my whole family applied for B2.

I've already been to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. I will be going to Hong Kong again in October before going to Canada. I know that being young, unemployed, and having no economic ties hurt my chances. I am going to start working once I get back from my Canada trip in January. Do you have any tips/suggestions/advice?

    Thank you.

Returned ticket and Canada visa might be helpful. But just graduate and prior visa refusal might impact on the current visa application. But there is no harm to try.
