  • Sister, Br-in-Law, 1yr old Nephew - Visitor Visa

I am getting married in the US in Aug. I have taken appointment for my parents. Now I would like to invite my Sister (33, Doc), Brother in Law (35, Doc), Nephew (1 yr). I will be sending my Sister's family for the visa interview seperately. What are their chances for getting their visa approved? My Nephew being only 1 yr old, does that mean it is a plus point or a problem?

    Thanks!

Depends on a lot of factors.
Your visa status in US, their financial status in India, nature of their work
(govt job, private practice), reason for coming to US.
As a general rule, one must be able to show strong occupational and family
ties to India. It may be better if your sister applied with your nephew
leaving her husband out, stating that he is too busy to go. This will improve
their chances as her husband will act as a tie in India to who they will return.
