Status change from Visitor Visa to Dependant H4 visa

Hi,

I hold a H1B visa and I am looking to bring my wife to US around 1st week of September. Currently all locations in India are having Interview Appointment dates only around last week of October for Non-Immigrant Visas, and the only I can bring her sooner is via Visitor Visa. Is there a way I can bring her here via a Visitor visa and then change the status to a Dependant visa, once she is here?

Please help me on this
