Hawaii Relatives, can I use their address.

I have a question, I have relatives in Hawaii they live there like 35 years, can I use their address to put in my visa form? Someone told me is not capable for referring for tourist visa, is this true? Please advise me, anyone can help me.

Hawaii is part of US. Of course you can use your relatives address.
