Can i Show NRI account for sponsoring Visitor Visa

Hi All,

I am on H1b here in USA and i am planning to sponsor my Mother for a visitor visa. I have one question while sponsoring that can i show my NRI account Balance and FD's for availability of funds. If yes what kind of document shall i send to her in case Counselor asks.

Yes, as long as it is NRE or FCNR. For NRO, yes as long as you are able to convert into USD.

You can show the bank statements.
