Error msg on VFS website

I am trying to take a visa appointment for my Father in law but when I click on continue I am getting the following msg:

Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

Does anyone else getting similar msg? As anyone been able to get going with the application process?

Kindly let me know.

I am also trying from morning to get an appointment. It is showing time out or server error always. I am totally frustrated.

I understand your frustration. I am not surprised by this as this type of issue is happening quiet frequently with this website. There is nothing much that you can do at your end. You need to just keep trying till yiu succeed. There is no fixed ETA. In the past I have seen it to be down for an hour, for a day also. So, be patient and just wait.

Since email is a recorded message, it might force vfs folks to take more interest in keeping the site functional after hours.

Looks to me like they DO NOT want people to schedule thru this site and go to them personally [not sure if they have some vested interest].

But the main disadvantage with personally walking in is you cannot try to reschedule online later.
