Chances of visa approval and documents required when staying with friends

Hello Everyone,

My background
I'm working in software company

Having annual package of 11+ lacs

Having house in mumbai with home loan

Having Bank funds 4+ lacs INR

No Travel history.


I'm Applying USA B2 Tourist Visa for 1st time, My male friend is already in USA for business meeting on B1/B2 visa

Shall I give my friend reference by stating he will bear sponsor my lodging / stay expenses, i will get invitation letter from him. Apart from lodging everyother expenses will be manage by me.

Can someone please tell me what are the documents I need from my friend?

And also what are the chances of my visa approval?

Don't need any documents. The concept of sponsorship for a tourist visa does not exist. Fill out the ds160, and answer interview questions truthfully. Your chances are determined by your ties to home and credibility at interview. You'll either be issued a visa, or denied, just like any other applicant.
