  • Do they generally ask for Death Cerificate

A whole lot of confusion here .We just checked the death certificate of my father and his name is a little different from the one on my mothers passport .My mothers passport does not have his initials .I have already taken appointment for July 31st .Is it a better idea to correct my mothers passport now ?Also do they generally ask for the death certificate ?
    Please let us know
    Thanks for the help.

Don't change anything in her passport, instead see if its possible to correct your father's name on the death certificate...Usually the conslate ask under 10 questions...& I haven't come across any thread where conslate has asked B2 applicant for spouse's death certificate. If they can't change his name then no big deal...most likely they won't ask for it..& if they do, just show the current certificate & explain the officer his name was mis-typed(only if asked)

    Always get more suggestions...
