Usa Tourist Visa

Hello, I'm from indian and want to apply for USA tourist visa, some consultant told me that brfore applying to US visa you mist have some travelling experience outside India, first time traveller don't get visa. Firstly You should go to some other small countries like thailand, bangkok etc,
Is that true???
I just want to visit USA for travelling purpose no family member is there no sponsorship, I'm thinking go on tourist package. Please clear this fact, thanks.

All you do is apply for a visa and find out. Really no need for a consultant or agent who'd scam you for money for an application anyone with a basic knowledge of english can complete. Why specifically the US? Why not, say London or Singapore or Sydney?
