I am very happy and I want to share with others.
Dad retired mother house wife from AP
My mom visited three times and Dad visited once in last ten years. Last time 2004 rejected my parents visa saying that too many times visiting America
This time my dad retired and we took a chance.
They took an appointment in English, since Telugu was not available that time. I have prepared all documents exactly what is suggested in Immihelp.com. (thanks to all who is contributing to this site)
I have spent reading hours together about others experiences and coached my parents accordingly.
I wrote a letter to CO saying that my parents will go back after 4 months as they did in the past. My both parents have their old parents and they have to take care of them. I have written specially that generally Indians prefer to live with their sons when they are old. Being my dad is eldest son to my Grand father, he has to go back to India and take care of his parents.
I have also mentioned that both me and my spouse working and getting vacation at the same time is difficult, and we need to plan when my kids off from school. I have written clearly stated that I will make sure that they will go back with in 4 months. I have put together a file all documents and worked more than what I did for my GC.
Briefly: Affidavit, Bank statement, invitation letter, tax returns three years, bank statements three months, itinerary, birth certificate, passport, GC photo copy.
My parents took:
Family photos, my brother’s employment letter in India, Property affidavit house and some lands around 50 lacks and bank statement, Pension letter.
They went to embassy at 9.30 AM for 10AM appointment and they were standing in the line for 6 hours during entire visa processes, came out at 3 PM (Looks like lot rush for summer).
Three questions asked and no documents seen from sponsor or visitor.
Question (1) How many children and where they are?
Ans: One son and One daughter, My son lives in India and my daughter in USA.
(2) Co asked my mom How many times visited USA?
Ans: Three times: CO him self told that the dates they visited and came back.
Question (3) Were you a lecturer before?
Ans: Yes
That is it.
At the end so much relief for us and for my parents:
Our understanding based on our experience and others from web postings:
These days they are basically asking how many children and where they are?
If one child is in India Likelihood of getting visa is more.
It is all pure luck and depends on the CO.
Thanks

Please some one could comment if they have any experiance or know on these issues.
1) My mom passport is valid only for six months. We have not asked for 10 years multiple entry and we are not sure how long they will give visa for 10 years or only upto passport validity?
2) How many days after interview, passport comes to home and is it require to stay at home to collect passport the same person who got the visa?
3) I have seen these days most cases they are issuing 10 years multiple. Is there any one got 6 months visitor visa?
