visa validity

my parents got visa for 10yrs. That means they can come here at any time in between this 10 yrs, right? I have some doubt whether they have to come here before six months as i heard from some of my friends about this. Can anybody help me to find the answer?

They can enter USA anytime before the visa expiry date.
