Entering US on B1 Visa

I have a valid B1/B2 Visa wich I got last year for personal travel. Currently I am under the process of applying L1 visa through my employer. The petition has been filed and interview scheduled in late December. I wanted to know if I can travel to US in the meantime on my current B1 visa as I intend to travel next month for a personal visit?

You can visit but immigration officer at the port of entry may raise the question reason for your current visit. You have to answer honestly.
