  • B2 Visa advise

I need your advise applying for tourist visa. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

My mom is US Citizen 63 years old. She wants to invite her sister -in-law(brother's wife) to visit her in US. Her sister-in-law is about 68 years old and widow in India. She has never traveled to any country. Her main source of income is ancestral agriculture -farming. In India mainly, she takes care of her 3 young granddaughters (because her son and husband passed away few years ago). That's her story and main ties to her home.

    I have few questions here:
    1. When filing DS-160 application, would it be OK if we mention that my mom will take care of expenses of trip and fill i-134(affidavit of support form).
    2. She has never applied for any visa before, do you think she has any chance of getting visa approval with her current situation?
    3. My mom is about to retire now, still working, but she has enough funds and tax returns to prove that she can afford her trip without any issues. I would like to ask you: If my brother who is working as doctor in US can file for b2 visa for my aunt (any advise to proof relationship). My main concern is : Visiting my mom (sister-in-law relationship) vs visiting my brother(nephew) which case is more stronger. What visitor reason should we mention to make case more genuine?

    Thanks a lot.

    1. Yes.
    2. What about her daughter in law. She can take care of her kids also. It may not be strong ties back to home country.
    3. Sister in law relation is more stronger than nephew. Reason for the visit should be meet family and tourism.

Thank you so much jnk for quick response. Sure we will apply for sister-in-law perspective.

Reason for the tourist : Can we add to family and tourism that my mom-dad has 35 years wedding anniversary in end of Nov. She is planning to attend their anniversary ?
